Two physicians from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's (CHOP) Division of Oncology presented at the 2020 PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome Foundation Patient and Scientific Symposium, which was held virtually on Aug. 13, 2020. Denise Adams, MD, a pediatric hematologist-oncologist and Director of CHOP's Comprehensive Vascular Anomalies Program, spoke about PTEN-related vascular anomalies and management. Suzanne P. MacFarland, MD, an attending physician in the Division of Oncology and Cancer Predisposition Program, spoke on pediatric manifestations of PHTS, with a focus on pediatric polyposis syndromes. The PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome Foundation was founded to find treatments or therapies for PTEN Syndromes by funding research, providing PHTS education, supporting patients and raising awareness.
