Two drink drivers within three hours , SA

Two people have been caught drink driving at Edwardstown in the early hours of this morning, according to SA Police.

Just after 1.30am, Friday 22 June, patrols were travelling behind a car driving erratically on Raglan Avenue, Edwardstown. Police stopped the car and conducted a driver screening test. The 43-year-old Glenelg East man recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.125 , he lost his licence on the spot for six months.

Two and a half hours later, at 4.10am, police spotted a vehicle speeding on Raglan Avenue and pulled it over on Marion Road for a mobile driver test.

The driver, a 25-year-old Clearview woman, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.118. She was reported for drink driving and driving unlicensed and issued with a six month loss of licence.

Also of concern to police was that there were two young children in the vehicle. Families SA have been notified.

Both drivers had their cars impounded for 28 day and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
