Two females arrested regarding allegedly stolen vehicle and erratic driving

Police have arrested two females after an allegedly stolen car was located being driven erratically in Thomastown about 2pm, Victoria Police say.

A pursuit was initiated but terminated a short time later for safety reasons.

Police continued to monitor the grey BMW sedan which stopped at a supermarket in Kilmore where two female occupants of the car walked into the supermarket and were arrested.

The two remaining occupants of the car drove off toward Heathcote on the Northern Highway.

The vehicle was not pursued at this point for safety reasons.

It is believed that the two outstanding occupants of the stolen car are known to police but no arrests have been made at this stage.

The 14-year-old and 17-year-old girls, both from Thomastown, are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
