Tickets for on-street paid parking in the Midland CBD will now provide the first two hours of parking free.
The change will enable customers to visit the area to carry out their business for longer, without having to pay. This is an extension of the one hour free parking in this area.
A fee will still apply for those wishing to use the on-street parking bays for longer than two hours, to discourage all-day parkers from taking up bays outside local businesses.
Normal parking machines and payment methods will be available, but if you are looking to manage your parking payments more easily, try the EasyPark app.
It is used widely throughout the metropolitan region and allows you to control your parking payments on the go, from start to finish, and to pay remotely. The ability to end your parking session means that you only pay for the amount of time you stay, taking the guesswork out of paying up front.
The app also includes a reminder service. Fifteen minutes before your parking time runs out, you can decide if you want to extend your parking time (if the parking policy allows it). Learn more about the EasyPark app.
