Two injured after plane crashes at Moruya

Emergency services have responded after two people were injured during an aircraft incident at Moruya on the state's South Coast this afternoon.

Just after 1pm (Thursday 18 December 2019), a single-engine Cessna jet crashed into bushland near the northern end of the Moruya Aerodrome runway after encountering engine problems.

A man and woman onboard suffered head and leg injuries and have been taken to Moruya Hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

There were no other people onboard the aircraft

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) have been notified.
