Two injured in fight in Bankstown

A man has suffered serious eye injuries during a fight outside a function centre in Bankstown overnight, NSW Police say.

Police from Bankstown Local Area Command were called to West Terrace about 9.15pm (Friday 22 December 2017), and found a 19-year-old man with a serious injury to his right eye as well as bruising to his face, head and body.

A 28-year-old man, from Lugarno, was found with a cut to the back of his head and concussion. Both men were taken to St George Hospital for treatment.

Police have been told the men were involved in a fight with several other men following a wedding.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries are now underway.

Police have spoken with a number of witnesses and hope to speak with the injured men once they are well enough.
