Two men arrested after home invasion, NSW

Two men have been arrested following a home invasion in Sydney’s inner-west overnight, NSW Police say.

Just after 12.15am tomorrow, emergency services were called to a home on Edenholme Road, Russell Lea, following reports of a home invasion.

Police have been told two men forced their way into the home, threatening the residents with a wooden object.

The men assaulted two residents before fleeing in a vehicle.

Officers from Burwood Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Two men, aged 83 and 34 were treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for minor injuries. The older man was taken to Concord Hospital and has since been released.

A short time later tomorrow, police attended a home in Five Dock arrested the occupants of a vehicle; two men aged 46 and 53.

The men were taken to Burwood Police Station where they are assisting police with their inquiries.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
