Two men arrested after kidnapping in Bondi

Police have arrested two men after an alleged kidnapping in Bondi yesterday, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to a shopping centre on Spring Street, Bondi Junction about 3pmtoday, following reports that a woman was assaulted.

Officers have been told that a woman was allegedly assaulted by a man before being forced into a van, which then left the centre.

Police from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command attended and launched an investigation into the matter.

Shortly before 12.30am tomorrow, officers from Newtown Local Area Command were patrolling along Parramatta Road, Camperdown when they were alerted to the presence of a Toyota Hiace van allegedly used in an abduction in Bondi.

Police stopped the Toyota Hiace van on Derby Place, Glebe, where they spoke to the driver, a 42-year-old man, his passenger a 28-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman believed to be the woman allegedly abducted.

The 35-year-old woman was not injured.

All three persons were taken to Newtown Police Station currently assisting police with inquiries.
