Two men arrested after pursuit ends in Paralowie, SA

Two men were arrested after a police pursuit in the northern suburbs overnight, according to SA Police.

At 3am on Saturday 31 December, police attempted to pull over a white Magna sedan for traffic matters on Whites Road, Salisbury North. The vehicle failed to stop and was pursued.

The police helicopter (PolAir) was in the area searching for a missing person when the pursuit commenced and quickly took control of the chase.

The car was abandoned on Weaver Street, Paralowie and the two occupants ran down towards the Little Para River.

After a foot pursuit, both men were arrested. There were no injuries during the incident.

A 37-year-old man of no fixed address and a 38-year-old Elizabeth South man were both charged with engage in a police pursuit and drive disqualified. They were both refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.
