Two men arrested for multiple burglaries

Two men have been arrested this morning following multiple burglaries within the Geelong area overnight and earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

Police were called to a ram-raid at a general store in Little River just after 3.30am this morning and shortly later a burglary at a nearby hotel.

The Police Air Wing assisted Geelong officers follow a Mazda to Fiona Avenue, Corio before the two men fled from the utility just after 4am.

The two Corio men, aged 29 and 26, were arrested by the Dog Squad about 5.15am in the area.

It’s alleged the men were involved in an attempted burglary at an industrial premises in Corio earlier this morning and a number of other incidents earlier this month including a burglary at a supermarket on 25 September.

The Corio men are currently assisting detectives with their enquiries.
