Two men arrested over blackmail at Unley, SA

Two men have been arrested following an investigation into blackmail and robbery that occurred in July, according to SA Police.

Detectives from the Serious Crime Task Force yesterday arrested a 40-year-old man of no fixed address and a 30-year-old Glenelg North man and charged them with aggravated robbery, blackmail, aggravated assault, unlawful detention and illegal use of a motor vehicle. The 30-year-old man was also charged with possess firearm with intent.

Police will allege the pair assaulted a man and stole property from him, and made further threats towards him.

The 40-year-old man has been remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date, and the 30-year-old man was refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
