Two men arrested - Strike Force Trebbiano, NSW

Two men have been arrested after an assault on the Central Coast in May, NSW Police say.

Police will allege a 23-year-old man sustained critical head injuries after he was assaulted at the front of a home on Wallarah Road, Gorokan, about 12.20am on Sunday 28 May 2017.

The man was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital and remains in a stable condition.

Strike Force Trebbiano, comprising of detectives from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command, was established to investigate the incident.

Following inquiries, about 12.20pm yesterday, a 23-year-old man was arrested at an address in Scone.

He was charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent and was refused bail to appear at Muswellbrook Local Court today.

About 11.20am today, a 24-year-old man was arrested at an address at Somersby.

He was taken to Wyong Police Station and is assisting police with their inquiries.

Inquiries are continuing.
