Taskforce Falcon detectives have charged two men and seized $1.7 million worth in cannabis following a property search in Sydney's south west.
In June 2025, detectives attached to State Crime Command's Taskforce Falcon commenced an investigation under Strike Force Duncan into the alleged organised supply of prohibited drugs and firearms for Organised Crime Networks (OCN's).
Following inquiries, about 10.15am yesterday (Wednesday 30 September 2026) strike force detectives stopped a vehicle on Henry Lawson Drive, Milperra.
During a search of the vehicle, police allegedly seized 15kg of cannabis and about $2300 in cash.
A 42-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with supply cannabis greater than indictable & less than commercial quantity, possess prohibited drug and recklessly deal with proceeds of crime less than $5000.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Thursday 15 October 2026.
About 12.45pm yesterday, strike force detectives - with assistance from Raptor Squad - executed a search warrant in Padstow, were police allegedly seized a further 72kg of cannabis.
The total amount of cannabis seized has an estimated potential street value of $1.7 million.
A 30-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with supply cannabis greater than indictable & less than commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug greater than commercial quantity and owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises.
He was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court today (Thursday 1 October 2026).
Taskforce Falcon detectives have now arrested 856 people resulting in 2200 charges being laid.
