Two men charged following Potts Point stabbing, NSW

Two men have been charged following investigations into the stabbing of a man in Potts Point at the weekend, NSW Police say.

About 3.30am (Sunday 21 October 2018), emergency services were called to Orwell Street, Potts Point, and found a 27-year-old man with slash wounds to his back, face, shoulders and arms.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he underwent surgery.

Detectives from Kings Cross Police Area Command commenced inquiries and today (Monday 22 October 2018) they arrested a 27-year-old man at Blanc Street, East Hills.

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and common assault.

He was refused bail and will appear in Bankstown Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 23 October 2018).

A second man, aged 28, attended Kings Cross Police Station about 5.40pm today where he was interviewed and later charged with affray.

He was granted conditional bail and will appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday 13 November 2018.
