Two Men Charged in Hobart Chainsaw Dealer Burglary

Police have charged two men as part of an ongoing investigation into a significant burglary at a Husqvarna Chainsaw dealer in the Hobart area in July.

A 40-year-old man from Ravenswood and a 36-year-old man from Gagebrook have been charged in relation to the burglary.

During the burglary more than 20 Husqvarna Chainsaws of various models were stolen, with a total value over $30,000.

Police have recovered some of the stolen chainsaws, however, a significant number remain outstanding, and police believed they have been on-sold at a discount price.

Anyone who has purchased a discounted Husqvarna Chainsaw recently is asked to contact Hobart CIB on 131 444.
