Two men charged over Two Wells break-in and assault, SA

Two men will face court today following an investigation into a violent assault and break-in at Two Wells, according to SA Police.

The two men, one a member of the Mongols OMCG, were arrested by officers from Crime Gangs task Force and assisted by STAR group on Saturday evening.

Police will allege that in the early hours of Friday 8 September, the two men forced their way into a Two Wells home where a man and woman were inside asleep. It will be alleged that the men assaulted the male occupant with a baseball bat and Taser, and threatened him with a knife.

During the incident, three cars, three motorbikes, a van and trailer, and other personal items were stolen from the property. Police later recovered the cars, motorbikes and trailer at a Blakeview address.

This is not a random attack and it is believed to be the result of a personal dispute.

A 33-year-old Freeling man and a 34-year-old Salisbury Downs man were charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, aggravated assault causing harm, aggravated threats to kill, property damage and theft.

They were refused bail and are expected to appear in the Elizabeth magistrates Court today.
