The two men police have been searching for in North-West Tasmania are safe and well.
"The two men who were believed to be missing have been located after an emergency text message application alerted police to their location when they entered a service area," said Senior Sergeant Stewart Williams.
"I encourage anyone entering Tasmania's remote wilderness to have a registered EPIRB or PLB device which can pin-point your location or be familiar with using the Emergency Location Service application available on most mobile phones."
