Two men injured, third in custody after suspected domestic-violence assault, NSW

Two people have been injured and one man is in custody following what police believe was a domestic-violence-related incident at Hoxton Park overnight, NSW Police say.

Police from Green Valley Local Area Command were patrolling Cowpasture Road about 1am tomorrow, when they’ve seen up to 20 people fighting near the intersection of Hoxton Park Road.

Officers called for assistance and moved to break up the fight.

They’ve found a 22-year-old man from Rossmore with a fractured ankle after allegedly being hit by a car; a second man, aged 25 and from Austral, has been treated for a head injury, allegedly sustained when hit with a weapon.

Both men have been taken to hospital for further treatment.

Police have arrested the driver of a car, a 23-year-old man from Austral, believed involved in the original incident.

He is currently at Green Valley Police Station assisting with inquiries.

Southbound traffic on Cowpasture Road was reduced from three lanes to a single lane while emergency services responded to the incident.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
