Two run from crash at Valley View

Police are looking for the two occupants of a car that crashed at Valley View tonight.

A resident heard the crash on Wright Road, Valley View just after 8pm on Thursday 8 August and alerted police. The two occupants were seen running from the scene.

Emergency services attended and found the car had crashed into a tree and was abandoned. The blue Holden sedan had previously taken off when they saw a patrol car earlier in the night, but were not pursued by police.

The car was seized for forensic examination. Checks revealed it was displaying stolen Victorian number plates.

Police searched the area but did not locate the occupants of the car. The male driver is described as of Caucasian appearance, about 185 cm tall, with a shaved head. He is believed to have sustained a head injury in the heavy collision and may need medical treatment.

The female passenger has a solid build.
