Two Suspicious Vehicle Fires At Sunshine Coast

Police are investigating after two separate vehicle fires yesterday evening, 1 September.

Around 8.53pm, emergency services were called to a white Kia Rio that had been set alight at a unit complex on Edmund Street in Kings Beach.

Around 10.11pm, emergency services attended a second vehicle fire involving a black Renault Latitude outside an address on Caloundra Road in Little Mountain.

The vehicles were damaged by the fires, and there was no damage to any nearby buildings.

Police declared crime scenes for both vehicles.

It is not yet known whether they are related, and investigations are continuing.

Both vehicle fires are being treated as suspicious, and investigators are appealing for anyone who may have relevant information or dashcam/CCTV vision to come forward.
