Two teenage girls charged following assault, NSW

Two teenage girls will face court after allegedly assaulting another teenager on the state’s Central Coast, NSW Police say.

About 4.40pm yesterday (Saturday 19 May 2018), a 14-year-old girl was at a bus stop near a shopping centre on Terrigal Drive, Erina.

The teen was approached by two girls, aged 14 and 15, who allegedly assaulted the teen by pushing her and punching her in the face.

The pair left the area and the teen sought medical assistance.

She was taken to Gosford Hospital with injuries to her face.

About 6.20pm, the pair were arrested by officers from the Public Transport & Safety Command near Gosford Railway Station and were taken to Gosford Police Station.

The 15-year-old girl was charged with common assault, reckless wounding in company and stalk/intimidate intend fear.

The 14-year-old girl was charged with common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, reckless wounding in company and stalk/intimidate intend fear.

Both girls were granted conditional bail and will appear at a children’s court on Friday 25 May 2018.
