Two teenagers charged over charity store stealing

Two teenagers have been charged with stealing following an incident at an Ulverstone charity store yesterday afternoon.

The pair reportedly entered the store about 3:20pm and demanded money, before pushing staff aside and removing a small quantity of cash from the register.

Police responded and arrested the 19-year-old man and 17-year-old youth a short time later.

They were both charged with stealing by force. She was additionally charged with assault and resisting police.

Police wish to thank members of the public who assisted police in their enquiries, and are seeking any further witnesses who may have seen the pair dressed in black, wearing gloves, and carrying backpacks in the Ulverstone area around the time.
