Two teens and a man face charges over stabbing - Pyrmont

A man and two teenagers have been charged after a man was stabbed in the face during an assault at Pyrmont overnight.

Just before 10.50pm (Friday 31 July 2020), police were called to the intersection of Pyrmont Bridge Road and Wattle Streets, after reports of an assault.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended and found a 36-year-old man suffering a stab wound to his face.

He was treated by NSW ambulance paramedics and taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition, where he will undergo surgery.

Police have been told the man had been injured while being assaulted by a group of up to 10 males.

Following inquiries, a 15-year-old boy was arrested at home in Eastwood. He was taken Ryde Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Children's Court today (1 August 2020).

A 17-year-old boy was arrested at a home in Thornleigh before being taken to Hornsby Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at a unit on Wattle Street today before being taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was also refused bail and is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Sunday 2 August 2020). #
