Two teens charged following investigation into multiple car thefts in Dubbo

Two teens will face court next month after an investigation into thefts from motor vehicles in Dubbo, NSW Police say.

Between 2am and 4am on Wednesday 20 April 2016, approximately 29 vehicles were broken into or damaged within various locations in the Dubbo Central Business District.

A number of items were allegedly stolen from within the vehicles.

Police were alerted and commenced investigations into the incident.

Following ongoing investigations, a 17-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were arrested at Dubbo Police Station on Tuesday (3 May 2016).

Both were charged with a range of offences, including malicious damage and larceny.

They were given conditional bail to appear in a Children’s Court on Monday 27 June 2016.

Police from Orana Local Area Command continue to make inquiries into the thefts and are appealing for anyone with information that may assist to come forward.
