Two vehicle crash, Mount Coot-Tha

Police are investigating following a two-vehicle crash at Mount Coot-Tha this morning.

Initial investigations indicate around 12.40am, police were called to reports a Toyota Prius had collided with an ambulance while both vehicles were travelling on Mount Coot-Tha Road.

The Toyota caught on fire following the crash and was extinguished by emergency services a short time later.

The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old Redbank Plains man and three passengers, two men aged 28 and 21 and a 25-year-old woman, were transported to hospital in stable conditions.

Two paramedics were transported to hospital for assessment.

The driver, a 22-year-old Redbank Plains man, is currently assisting police with investigations.

No further details are available.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
