A Wantirna man and a Bacchus Marsh man have unwrapped the ultimate early Christmas surprise, each taking home a dazzling $4 million in last night's Powerball draw.
The victorious Victorians were among three division one winning entries nationally in Powerball draw 1543, drawn Thursday 11 December 2025.
From a haircut to a hair-raising Powerball win! Wantirna man sports $4 million hairdo
A Wantirna man's stroll into the salon had him walking out with a multi-million-dollar hairdo after the ticket he bought scored him a $4 million Powerball win in last night's draw.
When we called him first thing this morning, the hardworking man shared that while he was over the moon, it wasn't stopping him from heading to work this morning.
"It was an interesting morning!" he said.
"I saw something saying I'd won a prize, but I couldn't see the amount. I did some investigating, and I thought 'What is going on?!'. It was a surprise and a half.
"I'm still at work today like normal, but I can't say I got much sleep.
"I showed my wife and said, 'Count these numbers!'. She was in shock. She went 'What a Friday!'.
"We're so happy, but we won't change as people. We'll still be the same.
"I don't play every week - just time to time. I used to always do QuickPicks but I started to find picking my own numbers was better."
When asked how he'll enjoy his prize, the winning man was too stunned to make any immediate decisions.
"I'd like to have a think about it. When I finish work and go home tonight, we'll be able to sit back and let it absorb," he said.
"I'm trying to forget about it in the meantime so I can focus! It'll make for an amazing Christmas, that's for sure."
His winning marked System 8 entry was purchased at Manfre's Hairdressing & TattsLotto Agency, Shop 11, Wantirna Mall Shopping Centre, Mountain Hwy, Wantirna.
Manfre's Hairdressing & TattsLotto Agency manager Romina Manfre said she was thrilled to sell another Powerball division one winning entry.
"What a perfect Christmas present and start for the new year! We're proud to have made this possible for the lucky customer!" she said.
"This is our second Powerball division one winning entry we've sold, so we're thrilled. We'll be celebrating with balloons, posters and lots of conversations ahead!
"We're a family business, established here in Wantirna over 40 years ago, Dad has been with Tatts from the very start. Customers here are almost like family too! We're sincerely proud and got goose bumps just hearing the news.
"A massive congratulations to the lucky customer, so proud to have made this life-changing win possible and best wishes for Christmas and the new year and years ahead!"
"That's mad!": Bacchus Marsh man's $4 million Powerball win hidden in plain sight
A Bacchus Marsh dad was cheerfully cruising through his usual Friday morning routine, blissfully unaware he'd pocketed a life-enhancing $4 million in last night's Powerball draw.
The newly-crowned multi-millionaire took a little longer to learn of his windfall, having unknowingly ignored calls from us.
"Oh wow! That's good news!" he laughed.
"That's mad! I had no idea. I normally receive an email about my $8 win, but I didn't receive one of those this morning, so I just assumed I had won absolutely nothing.
"But then I saw I had a couple of missed calls and a text message urging me to check my Powerball ticket.
"I don't know how to comprehend this."
When asked how he planned to enjoy his multi-million-dollar win, the gleeful man admitted he was still reeling from the shock, though he already had a few ideas in mind.
"I have no idea! I'll probably pay off the normal things; bills and my mortgage," he shared.
"I never thought I could ever afford to go on a holiday but now I can!
"I can help my children too."
His winning PowerHit entry was purchased via The Lott app - the official home of Australia's lotteries.
