Two women injured in fight at Blacktown

Police are waiting to interview two women after one was slashed across the face during a fight at Blacktown overnight.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command were called to Flushcombe Road shortly after 10pm (Sunday 24 November 2019), responding to reports of a fight involving two women.

They arrived to find an 18-year-old woman suffering a 10-cm long wound to her forehead and other facial cuts.

She was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital, where her condition is reported to be stable.

A crime scene was established and following inquiries, a 17-year-old woman was arrested at a nearby shopping centre.

She is now under police guard at Blacktown Hospital where she is being treated for cuts to her hands.

Police hope to speak with both women once they are deemed well enough.
