Applications are now open for the third round of the Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS) Industry Participation Scholarship, supporting the development of future leaders in Australia's rapidly growing uncrewed aviation sector.
Announced by Airservices Australia Chief Executive Officer Rob Sharp at the RPAS in Australian Skies 2026 conference, the scholarship is delivered in partnership with the Australian Association for Uncrewed Systems (AAUS).
Rob acknowledged the importance of supporting industry lead initiatives like the UAS Industry Participation scholarship in enabling the uncrewed aviation sector to thrive.
"AAUS have designed this program to foster broader participation and greater diversity across the sector, ensuring that the next generation of UAS professionals reflects the full breadth of talent and perspectives in our community" he said.
The scholarship supports individuals to undertake training and professional development, helping build the skills and experience needed to enter or progress within the UAS sector.
Previous scholarship recipient, Janice Wong, highlighted the tangible career benefits of the program.
"This training is really important for me and my career because it opens up a lot of opportunities within my company. The UAV industry is growing fast, and my company works with many UAV partners and projects" she said.

Eligible applicants are encouraged to apply by 5pm, 12 April 2026 AEDT and be part of the next generation of uncrewed aviation professionals.
