UK Envoy Meets CACIF Head

British Ambassador to Guatemala, Juliana Correa, met with Charles Bland, President of the Coordinating Committee of Agricultural, Commercial, Industrial and Financial Associations (CACIF).

The meeting addressed key topics including investment climate, democratic governance, and strategic infrastructure development.

Ambassador Correa presented the UK's commercial offer, highlighting interest from British companies in sectors such as energy, agritech, education, security, and water treatment. The discussion also included financing opportunities through UK Export Finance (UKEF), a tool designed to support projects with British content.

Both parties emphasized the importance of advancing structural reforms that promote transparency, competitiveness, and sustainable economic growth. Ambassador Correa reaffirmed the United Kingdom's commitment to democratic governance and expressed her willingness to continue strengthening ties between the UK and Guatemala's business community.
