The Government Legal Department welcomes a new Lead Non-Executive Board Member, Rt Hon Dame Janet Paraskeva, and Non-Executive Board Member, Tim Fallowfield OBE.
Dame Janet joins for a term of 3 years from 1 February 2024 and will Chair the GLD Board. Dame Janet brings a wealth of experience supporting organisations at Board level capacity, as a member of the Privy Council, as the Chair of Council for Licensed Conveyancers, and formerly as a non-executive of an NHS Trust. Previously Dame Janet was Chief Executive of the Law Society and the First Civil Service Commissioner.
The Department also welcomes Tim Fallowfield OBE as a NEBM on the GLD Board, for a term of 3 years from 1 February 2024. Tim is an experienced Director, a solicitor by profession, and has 25 years of Board experience in FTSE 100 businesses. He was awarded an OBE for services to Disability Awareness in the 2020 New Year's Honours list.
The Attorney General, Rt Hon Victoria Prentis KC MP, welcomed the new appointees to the GLD Board:

The Permanent Secretary and Treasury Solicitor of GLD, Susanna McGibbon, commented on the new appointments:
