Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on world leaders to form a coalition against Russian President Vladimir Putin.
After Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" in Ukraine's eastern Donbas region, there are multiple reports of cruise missile strikes on civilian infrastructure, including residential apartment blocks deep inside Ukraine.

Local media quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying it has started "the disabling of Ukraine's military infrastructure, including military airfields".
However, reports from Ukraine indicate Russian military is targeting civilian infrastructure in the different cities and air raid sirens and explosion heard in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv.
Ukrainian Armed Forces said five Russian planes and 1 helicopter were shot down and two tanks, multiple trucks were destroyed in the Lugansk region after an attack on Ukraine.
