Unlawful use of a motor vehicle – charges at Sunnybank, QLD

Police have charged a man after a vehicle was allegedly driven dangerously at Sunnybank earlier this morning., Queensland Police say

It will be alleged at around 11:10pm last night, police observed a stolen Toyota Landcruiser travelling at speed along Sherwood Road however, they lost sight of the vehicle.

At around 3am this morning, the same vehicle was reported to police after it had crashed into a residence on Bywood street.

The male driver had allegedly fled the scene however, police located him a short time later at a nearby residence.

A 21-year-old Sunnybank Hills man has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle and adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and one count of driving a motor vehicle without a driver licence.

The man is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, January 15.
