Unlawful use of motor vehicle charges at Deception Bay, QLD

Police have charged two men after an allegedly stolen car reversed into a police car at Deception Bay overnight, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged at 12.20am police observed a stolen car stopped in the side yard of a Mirrabrook Street house. Police have stopped their car behind the stolen car. The driver of the stolen can has then reversed into the police car twice before police arrested the driver and passenger without further incident.

The vehicle has been stolen from a house at Pilgrim Place Bracken Ridge on June 29.

A 18-year-old Deception Bay man has been charged with unlawful use of motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and obstruct police.

A 34-year-old Raceview man has been charged with unlawful use of motor vehicle, possession of explosives (ammunition), possession of knife in public place and obstruct police.
