Unlawful use of motor vehicles in Deception Bay, QLD

A 30-year-old man is currently assisting police with their inquiries into the unlawful use of two motor vehicles in the Deception Bay area and a number of other matters, Queensland Police say.

At around 11.45am, police began tracking a man in an allegedly stolen Audi in Deception Bay then followed him through Rothwell, Narangba and Redcliffe Peninsula.

After evading police at an address in Deception Bay using an allegedly stolen Hyundai Excel, police were able to apprehend a man at a train station in Kippa Ring.

A male police officer received minor injuries at the address in Deception Bay and was treated by the Queensland Ambulance Service at Redcliffe Police Station.

Both of the stolen vehicles have been located and seized.

Investigations are continuing.
