Unlawful wounding at Palm Beach, QLD

Detectives have today charged a man in relation to the alleged unlawful wounding of a 26-year-old man at Palm Beach on May 25, 2018, Queensland Police say.

It is alleged around 7.45pm, a group of men became involved in an altercation at a licensed premises on Fifth Avenue with the disturbance spilling out onto the street.

During the incident, a 26-year-old man was allegedly stabbed a number of times with an unknown weapon.

He later presented to the Tweed Heads Hospital for treatment to his injuries.

A 29-year-old Worongary man has been charged with acts intended to disable and assault occasioning bodily harm.

He is expected to face Southport Magistrates Court today.

Police investigations are ongoing.
