A man is in a critical condition following an alleged stabbing in Palm Island this afternoon.
At approximately 2.40pm, police were called to a medical facility on Palm Island following reports that a man had presented with a stab wound.
The 27-year-old was airlifted to Townsville Hospital where he is undergoing surgery for a single knife wound. The man remains in a critical but stable condition.
Police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident.
