Unsworn Employee Faces Domestic Violence Charges

A NSW Police unsworn employee has been charged with alleged domestic-violence related offences in Sydney's north west.

On Wednesday (27 August 2025), police received a report of two alleged domestic violence offences committed against a 46-year-old woman by a man known to her in October 2024 and July 2025.

Following inquiries, the staff member – who is attached to a specialist command – was arrested about 7pm on Wednesday (27 August 2025) and taken to Castle Hill Police Station.

The 48-year-old man was charged with choke without consent (DV), assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV), common assault (DV), and two counts of stalk/intimidate.

He was granted strict conditional bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday 16 September 2025.

The staff member's employment status is under review.
