Personalised advice, live entertainment and hands-on activities on offer at Open Day
The University of Wollongong's (UOW) Liverpool Open Day is moving to a new home this week, and it's one that students will soon be calling their own.
On Saturday, UOW Liverpool's Open Day will be held at Civic Place – the future home of our new campus opening in early 2026. While the final campus fit-out is still underway, this special event offers prospective students and families a first look inside the space that will soon become a vibrant learning hub in the heart of Liverpool.
Open Day is a chance for anyone thinking about studying to speak with academics and current students, explore course options, and get one-to-one advice about applications, early admission, and scholarships. With live music, giveaways and hands-on activities.
UOW Vice-Chancellor and President Professor G.Q. Max Lu said the event marked the University's strong commitment to Western Sydney.
Open Day is all about people – meeting future students, their families, and the community we're proud to be part of," Professor Lu said.
"While our new campus is still taking shape, the conversations and connections that begin here are just as important. We're excited to support students in Liverpool as they explore what's possible through education.
Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun said this was an exciting development for both UOW and Liverpool City Council.
"Having the UOW as the main tenant is a win for both the Council and the University," Mayor Mannoun said.
"It also sends a strong message that Liverpool's CBD is not only growing, but it fast becoming the location of choice for major organisations and it's all part of our purpose of being a leading education city that attracts students and other educational institutions."
