Up to $200 000 Available for Digital Business Solutions

A new round of the Digital Partnerships Program has been released to support Territory businesses build capacity in the local digital industry and create jobs for Territorians.

The Digital Partnerships Program grants enable Territory businesses to team up with our local ICT industry to develop innovative digital solutions to solve industry challenges.

Despite the impacts of Covid-19, 30 new jobs have been created over the course of the round 1 projects which include:

DEVA Darwin developed and manufactured NightKey, a biometric identity management system that can verify a customer identify in seconds, collect information for contact tracing and help curb antisocial behaviour in licensed venues.

DICE Australia developed a digital solution to improve monitoring, maintenance and sustainability of renewable energy installations for remote Territory communities and businesses.

MYCOR developed a cost effective smart water sensor system to improve water efficiency in home gardens, parks, schools and commercial nurseries.

Paspalis Enterprise has established is a world-class research and development compute facility which will help commercialise research projects in the Territory.

Walpiri Media are developing InDigiVR which showcases the Territory's Indigenous sites, heritage and landscapes to audiences around the world by using cutting-edge fully immersive, photorealistic 360-degree experiences.

Round 2 of the program is open to all Territory enterprises on a co-contribution basis, with grants of up to $200,000 available for projects that are ready to go.

To be successful, proposals must develop digital technology, support local jobs and economic growth, and improve competitiveness and productivity of Territory businesses.

Applications for the Digital Partnerships Program are now open and will close on 21 January 2022.
