Deloitte Australia is expanding its Adelaide operations with the opening of Australia's first Centre for Innovation and Technology that will, over the next three years, create up to 500 jobs within automation, analytics, cyber and financial audit services.
With 300 people already based in Adelaide, Deloitte has worked with the State Government's Department for Trade and Investment to establish the Australian Centre for Innovation and Technology Service Delivery in Adelaide, which will also see the development of a skills and employment package, building linkages to universities and graduate pipelines with the Department for Innovation and Skills.
Premier Steven Marshall has welcomed the expansion, which is going to create a significant number of jobs for South Australians and shows great commitment to the state from a global company.
"While we currently have more South Australians employed than ever before in our state's history, my aim is to create even more jobs and today's announcement by Deloitte is going to help massively with that effort," Premier Marshall said.
"The establishment of Deloitte's Australian Centre for Innovation and Technology in Adelaide further highlights our economic growth in sectors underpinned by technology and innovation, such as defence, space, healthcare and the public sector.
"The expansion will mean more jobs for South Australia, tapping into our talent market and pipeline of skilled workers that are available to take up roles in cyber security and data science in our state."
Minister for Trade and Investment Stephen Patterson said Deloitte's Australian Centre for Innovation and Technology in Adelaide continues to position the state as global leader within the hi-tech sector.
"Once again, South Australia has positioned itself at the forefront of the nation when it comes to innovation and technology," Minister Patterson said.
"The opening of Deloitte's first Australian Centre for Innovation and Technology showcases our hi-tech ecosystem, the opportunity for innovative collaboration and partnerships across industries and also provides our graduates with access to exciting careers within cyber and data science."
41 graduate positions have already been filled for roles at the Australian Centre for Innovation and Technology, with EOIs now open for further positions.

Deloitte's Australian Centre for Innovation and Technology will start providing services to clients in late 2021.
