Update 5: Search continues for missing men

Brisbane Water Police are scaling back marine assets as the search for two fishermen missing in Moreton Bay continues today.

PolAir and Rescue 500 will continue to work with remaining marine assets as the extensive search enters its sixth day.

Officer in Charge of Brisbane Water Police Senior Sergeant David Edden also reminded the public to be vigilant on the water and report any items that may be linked to the missing men to police.

"With increased activity expected on the water this weekend, please keep a look out for the missing men and be mindful that search and rescue assets will still be working in the area," Senior Sergeant Edden said.

The families of the missing men are very appreciative of the ongoing public support in their search with Water Police continuing to update the families on their search efforts.
