Update 7: Homicide investigation, Tallebudgera

Police have arrested another man in relation to the murders of 36-year-old Shane Ross and 47-year-old Cameron Martin at Tallebudgera in October 2019.

Following extensive investigations, detectives from the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and the Homicide Investigation Unit have charged a 32-year-old man with two counts of murder serious organised crime and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The man was today extradited from Grafton in New South Wales back to the Gold Coast and will face Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police have been working extensively on the investigation since Cameron Martin was located deceased in his white 2015 Mercedes Benz C200 around 9.30pm on Friday October 18, 2019. The vehicle had crashed into a tree off Tallebudgera Creek Road.

Subsequent investigations indicate that Mr Martin sustained a puncture wound to his chest shortly before the crash.

Around 1.30pm on Sunday October 21, 36-year-old Shane Ross was located deceased in bushland on the corner of the Pacific Highway and Tallebudgera Creek Road.

Regional Crime Coordinator for the South Eastern Police Region Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith said it was a complex and difficult investigation.

"Detectives will leave no stone unturned.

"We will continue to investigate to ensure all of those involved in these murders are arrested and brought before the courts," said Detective Superintendent Smith.
