All ACT Government turf sportsgrounds will remain closed for training and match play today, Tuesday 11 October 2022.
Closures include turf sportsgrounds but exclude the Melrose and Nicholls synthetic fields and the Woden athletics track.
The decision has been made as high levels of residual moisture are still in the playing surfaces. To minimise damage to turf surfaces, and in the interests of public safety the grounds will remain closed until further notice.
More rainfall is forecast toward the end of the week, and this may impact the safe opening of the grounds across the weekend. We thank the community for their patience as the season begins. A further update on the conditions of the grounds will be provided ahead of their planned reopening.
