Update – Additional arrests following major Ice network raids in South West Queensland

Police have seized illicit drugs and a number of vehicles on the second day of a major protracted operation targeting the production and trafficking of methlyamphetamine (Ice) in South West Queensland, Queensland Police say.

This morning, officers from across Queensland with the assistance from the State Drug Squad and Brisbane and Toowoomba dog squads executed an additional 17 search warrants at properties in St George, Surat and Dirranbandi.

A total of 14 people were arrested and charged with more than 43 charges including one person with trafficking a dangerous drug, five people with supply and a number of possession related offences.

All are expected to appear in the Roma, St George and Dalby Magistrates courts over the coming months.

Operation Oscar Kohl was established in August 2016 to target those involved in the production and trafficking of methylamphetamine (Ice) in St George and nearby areas.

Investigations are continuing and will be ongoing with a number of further arrests expected to follow in the coming weeks.
