Police advise that, while the formal identification process is yet to be completed, it is believed that the body located in the Richmond Ranges yesterday is the overdue tramper who was trekking the Te Araroa Trail in the area.
Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this difficult time.
Police will conduct enquiries on behalf of the Coroner, who will release their finding in due course.
