Major Crash Detectives have issued a notice to appear to a 22-year-old woman in relation to a fatal crash which occurred on the Stuart Highway on 24 January 2019.
The woman was the driver of the car involved in the crash which resulted in the death of a 29-year-old male. A 21-year-old female was treated for serious injuries at the scene and later evacuated to Royal Darwin Hospital where she underwent treatment.
Police believe the car drifted off the northbound lane of the Stuart Highway, overcorrected and slid out of control over the southbound lane before rolling several times.
The 22-year-old woman has been charged with drive a vehicle dangerously cause death and drive a vehicle dangerously cause serious harm.
She is required to appear at Ngukurr Local Court on 5 March 2019.
