Update – Man charged over armed robbery at Oxenford, QLD

A man has been charged over the armed robbery of a hotel at Oxenford on June 18, 2018, Queensland Police say.

It is alleged around 11pm three men wearing balaclavas, one armed with a firearm forced entry into the Maudsland Street business.

Two employees, a 49-year-old woman and a 62-year-old man were threatened before the trio fled with a sum of cash.

Detectives arrested the man yesterday afternoon at Beenleigh.

A 36-year-old man from Adelaide has been charged with armed robbery, fail to stop motor vehicle, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a utensil.

He is due to face Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.

No-one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing.
