Update: Multiple burglaries, North Brisbane

Detectives investigating multiple burglaries and a police vehicle being rammed on Brisbane's north on Monday have released an image of a 20-year-old man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

It will be alleged three men in a stolen Mazda utility attended a residence on Tarong Drive at Northlakes where they stole a red Lotus coupe around 2pm on Monday.

When police located both vehicles in Wallarah Parade, one man from the Mazda ran into bushland while the driver has got into the Lotus. The driver of the Lotus has then allegedly reversed into the police vehicle before driving away at speed.

The man who allegedly ran from the utility was located nearby.

Police located the Lotus abandoned a short time later in Monarch Court at Kallangur.

Around 2.20pm two men entered a house in Lilly Road at Kallangur where they allegedly attempted to steal a BMW sedan parked in a garage. After ramming a car parked behind it multiple times, the pair fled the scene on foot.

A police dog tracked one of the men and located him a short time later, however, the other remains outstanding.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with two counts of burglary and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of wilful damage and evade.

A 21-year-old Redcliffe man has been charged with two counts of burglary and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of enter premises.

Both men appeared in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court yesterday where they were remanded in custody to reappear at later dates.

Detectives want to speak with the 20-year-old man (pictured) in relation to the incident are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts not to approach him but to contact police.
