Update on ARTC network in NSW 22 December

ARTC

ARTC continues to work on restoring services on the ARTC network in New South Wales that are significantly impacted by the recent record flooding.

Restoration works between Parkes and Condobolin have been completed with this section reopened on December 12.

On the Broken Hill line, the closure between Condobolin and Euabalong remains in place with 17 sites over the 70km section requiring repair, 11 of these sites remain inaccessible.

John Holland has been appointed as the principal contractor and work is underway. Full recovery plans will be completed when all sites become accessible.

A diversion through Melbourne is operational for freight services and supplies are moving through to Western Australia.

Based on current information available, ARTC estimates that the line between Condobolin and Euabalong is expected to reopen in late January 2023.
