Corrimal Heated Pool will remain closed until the start of July as improvements are undertaken to the 48-year-old facility.
The pool closed in May for scheduled maintenance which included tile repairs, realigning the water supply pipes and maintenance to pool plant and equipment.
As these works were being carried out, we uncovered additional critical repairs that would need to be completed to ensure the pools can continue long term operations. This remedial work was identified as the realigned water supply pipes were brought online, and includes repairs to the pools' balance tank, which is a key component of the water filtration system.
We anticipate this will see an additional three weeks added to the scheduled closure, provided we get good weather.
We appreciate our winter swimmers will be disappointed with this update and thank them for their patience as we work to reopen the popular heated pool as soon as possible. We will continue to keep swimmers updated as we work through the necessary pool repairs.
